Metricbeat logs in messages

Hi I am getting error in beat and it is stored in /var/log/messages and with 1.GB per day so how can i restrict the logs to enter into it

If I understand correctly Metricbeat is logging too much, and this is using up too much space?

You can configure logging, however it's not possible to set a log level lower than error, so this probably won't solve your issue. It would be best to address the error itself.
