I've set up a environment wher logstash output plugin (4.0.0) sends data to influxdb (1.1) and for unknown reasons logstash suddenly stops sending data/flushing items:
[2016-12-21T16:00:26,810][WARN ][logstash.outputs.influxdb] Failed to flush outgoing items {:outgoing_count=>4,
:exception=>"NoMethodError",

It seems to be a race condition, as sometimes it works flawlessly and sometimes it doesn't.
I have two instances of logstash sending to the same influxdb database. the other logstash instance is 3.2 and works fine, the data processed by both is identically structured.
Any ideas what this error means?
