Potential data deletion issue when using the offline plugin pack command

this for let everybody know how beautiful logstash is !

running this command

bin/logstash-plugin prepare-offline-pack --output OUTPUT [PLUGINS]

and specify as output => /home/vittorio , the result is just amazing.... everything deleted.

And I have to thank the fact that the command failed, otherwise my entire pc would have been a binary file :slight_smile:

Everybody who wants to run this command, be careful because it will delete the specified directory and then write the output and yes, is like doing the magic and awesome rm -rf

Thanks Vittoro, this is a pretty bad bug.

I' have created https://github.com/elastic/logstash/pull/6861/ and will do releases for that asap.
