Problem install logstash-7.13.2-x86

On Centos 7.9
During upgrade of logstash-7.13.2-x86 the ownership /usr/share/logstash changes from logstash:logstash to root:root.
Why does the installation changes the owner of /usr/share/logstash ?

Depends on how you installed the package ?

Did you do it from root or normal user via sudo ?

Either way the update should not break any path permissions, certainly not with root:root perms

If you are using rpm packages (e.g. via yum) then setting file ownership is part of the core functionality and cannot be disabled.

If you grant logstash permissions using setfacl instead of group or owner then the update should not affect them.
