?refresh=wait_for in elasticsearch output

I can't find in the documentation if there's a way to specify the refresh parameter on a _bulk operation, in particular I wanted to try wait_for

I do not see the point in doing this in the Logstash Elasticsearch output. What is the problem you are trying to solve?

sorry for the late reply.
I'm trying not to overload nodes on indexing spikes. basically do some kind of backpressure mechanism. Right now we used "sleep" in logstash but doesn't seem right.
