Reloading of Data

Hello,

currently my plan is to use logstash for gathering data via http_poller. (Api Requests)

For my understanding:

Are you able to configure logstash so it will recall api's after a specific time?
Or is logstash doing it automatically when hitting refresh on the kibana dashboard?

Doing a refresh in kibana does not cause logstash to reload data.

I have also found out that you can define a cron in logstash plugin to recall the api.
