Send log from SUSE 10 to logstash

Hey,

I have few SUSE 10 servers (old novell servers, I cannot upgrade). I would like send a file content to remote logstash. I tried install filebeat, but the SUSE 10 is not supported. There is syslog-ng on the SUSE10, but very old version (1.6) and I couldn't set the file content reading with file() driver. I tried install logstash, but it needs newer java version and I cannot upgrade, because current services using the installed 1.5 version.

Any other idea?
