To know about the compression logs

Hi Team,

We would like to know about the compression logs.
These compression logs are generated when we increase the compression level in filebeat.yml.

We are processing the logs from filebeat -> kafka -> Logstash -> Elasticsearch -> Kibana.

When we are using the compression setting in the filebeat, Is there a possibility of data loss? If there are any benefits and drawbacks of compression logs?

Could you please provide a brief explanation?
