I know Logstash can be used to collect tweets based on keywords. Is it possible to use Logstash to specify bounding box (south-west geo coordinates and north east geo coordinates) to collected geo-coded tweets?
Not directly.
You could index all tweets, then run another LS thread that does an ES query just for certain things and reindexes those?
