What is the pre-requisite for beats to run on windows machine

i have two question regarding metric beats:

1. i cant find the pre-requite document for metrixbeats on your website. please share the same for metric beats, Logstack and Elastic search.
2. beats give new record for every second, cant we reduce the number of records that it generated like group the monitoring values for every 5 mins.

Metricbeat doesn't have additional software requirements for Windows, you can find here the matrix of operating systems officially supported for each Elastic product: https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix_os

Regarding the second question, collection interval is configured per module in metricbeat, you can modify it using the period setting, for example period: 5m to collect metrics every 5 minutes.
Take into account that it can make sense to have different intervals for different sets of metrics.

regarding the answer to the second question. so the data produced at 5th minute is live data at that point of time or the aggregation of last 5 mins.

It depends on the data collected, most modules don't do any aggregation, and they just collect the metric at that point in time.
