Failed to authenticate user [elastic]

After installing X-Pack in Windows machine, I am getting the following error when I start Kibana

[WARN ][o.e.x.s.a.AuthenticationService] [j1NB46r] An error occurred while attempting to authenticate [elastic] against realm [reserved] - ElasticsearchSecurityException[failed to authenticate user [elastic]]

I am able to start Kibana and logged-in using default user credentials

Any quick help is highly appreciated!

Did you install x-pack on Kibana as well?

Yes I did and restarted both

That error message indicates that you entered an incorrect password.

Did you change the passwords for the built-in users?

ES stopped showing that error message after I added username and password to Kibana.yml
