When we try to add a tag to the allocator we are getting an "internal server error" - the server configuration is 16GB of RAM to 50Gb of storage - could this error be due to the lack of storage available? We thought it might be causing us an issue.

Hmmm no this is not normal ... based on the issues you're having across a few different threads, it sounds to me like something didn't install properly or some system configuration was wrong ... "internal server error" would normally indicate that the allocator record is corrupt in the persistence store, or something like that (there should be more verbose errors in the logs in /mnt/data/elastic/:runnerid/services/adminconsole/logs which will provide more context as to what that might be)
