Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce that Elasticsearch for Apache Hadoop (aka es-hadoop) 1.3 M2 has been released. Alongside it, we
introduced the official Snapshot/Restore HDFS repository plugin which will follow the es-hadoop release cycle.

Awesome! Very exciting. One question: How do I set which field to use as
_id when indexing json with Cascading? Do I need to have a field named _id?

See [1]. This applies across the board to all libraries - setup 'es.mapping.id' to the configuration passed to cascading
and we'll handle the rest.
