We just released Twitter River plugin 1.3.0 for Elasticsearch: https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch-river-twitter
Basically, we fixed some issues:
proxy password was not used: #15
when stopping the river, remaining tweets were not indexed before closing: #27
Some new options:
indexing Twitter raw format using raw option: #25
ignore RT: #24
add profile pictures and RT info: #23
