Any good way to add custom grok pattern to elasticsearch for pipelines other then in the pipeline file?

Looking for a good way to load a bunch of custom grok pattern's into elasticsearch to be used in pipelines? Other than setting them in the pipeline.

Adding patterns in ES on AWS, pipeline definition through API
