Any observations re: whether or not there is an advantage to stopping the elasticsearch service before restarting a windows server?

Hi,

For rolling restarts, just wondering if anyone has any data about whether or not there is any advantage/disadvantage to stopping the elasticsearch service before restarting windows servers?

If Elasticsearch is setup to stop gracefully when the server stops then it shouldn't matter however if it's not then it will be like pulling the plug on the server as far as ES is concerned which is obviously best avoided if you're intending to keep the shards on the node.
