APM Ignore Exception Config defined in application.properties is not ignored and visible as error in APM

APM Server version:
7.13

APM Agent language and version:
Java 1.28.0

We have config defined in Java spring application.proerties defined as
elastic.apm.ignore_exceptions=com.base.org.application.core.Exception.ExampleException

This config is not making the excpetion to ignore and is still visbile in kibana-apm as Error.

Any suggestions
