  • Responsibilities *

• Work closely with Operations teams to research, design and
implement new service checks based on Perl and Shell scripts for client’s
email network.

• Maintenance and administration of client’s email networks and
related environments including hardware, systems software, applications
software, and all configurations.

• Plan, coordinate, and implement new builds, email migrations
and system upgrades as and when required.

• Contribute in developing a strategy to scale monitoring
solution as per client requirement.

• Identify areas of improvement in client’s email network setup.

• Investigate, resolve and document issues in client’s e-mail
network.

*Skills *

• Excellent knowledge of working in Solaris & Linux environment.

• Strong Perl and Shell scripting skills.

• Knowledge of different protocols like SMTP, POP, IMAP, Telnet
and LDAP.

• Solid understanding of large-scale mail environments.

• Knowledge of Solaris Containers, ports, consoles, ILO

• Working knowledge of ZFS and NFS.

• Results oriented with ability to work under pressure and
manage difficult situations.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand Client’s IT
functions to begin applying Client’s product strategy.

• Strong organization and communication skills and professional
demeanor.

• Ability to make timely and effective decisions that are based
on sound judgment and business rationale.

• Ability to adjust performance to meet changing circumstances
such as reorganizations, reassignment of priority on projects, changes in
strategic direction, and shifting customer needs.

Now look. This needs to be said once in a while:

  • Replying to all of us is useless.
  • The OP is obviously of low moral character, unlikely to read your
    response, and even less likely to heed it.
  • Top-posting and quoting the offending message will only confuse SPAM
    detection algorithms that rely on the content of the message.

Things that are worth doing:

  • Flag the original as SPAM in your mail client.
  • Put the sender in a killfile, add them to an auto-delete rule, etc.
  • Apply gentle pressure to mailing list owners to lightly moderate the
    content.

I've failed to say anything relevant about Elasticsearch (shame on me for
that).
