Audit logs are not getting generated in elasticsearch 7.3

elasticversion- 7.3

I have 8 nodes of elasticsearch

masternodes- 3
clientnode-2
datanode-3

I want to generate audit logs in the elasticsearch so I added this parameter in all the 8 nodes

xpack.security.audit.enabled : true

elasticsearch_audit.json

generated in /var/log/elasticsearch

But this is empty so do I have to add some other parameter in order to get audit logs or elasticsearch 7.3 does not support audit log
