This is my first time trying to build elasticsearch source code. Wiki is saying that at least java12 is require to build source code. I am running ubuntu 18.04. From the google that I have done it doesn't seem that java12 exist for ubuntu 18.04. What I see from the oracle page is java8, java11 and java13. Tried to be build source code with java13 but it doesn't seem to work.
I was wondering if someone know a workaround that I can use, I don't want to install ubuntu19 just to have java12
I came across this link as to how to install Java 12 on Ubuntu 18.04. I remember doing this as well on a VPS that I have so it is possible. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I went through the blog. But the issue I am facing is that java12 doesn't seem to be the oracle page anymore I believe it has been remove some time on April.
