We don't have backup in our cluster.
Can we you replicas for disaster recovery purpose..?

Can you give more context about what kind of disaster recovery you are thinking?
If you lose a node that has primary shards, a replica shard in another node will be promoted to primary and the cluster will try to allocate a new replica shard in a different node.
