Can we implement Soundex in Thai language?

Hi,

I want to search for a Thai name (first name and last name), which can be spelled in many forms but has the same phonetic.

Is there any Soundex plugin for Thai language?

The only existing plugin that I know that does something like this is Basis Technology Name Indexer. It seems like something like this can be easily implemented as a lucene filter and then made available in elasticsearch, but I am not aware of any such effort.
