Can't get node to start ( GC out of memory )

If got one big storage node for old indexes ( hot-cold architecture)
apparently the storage size exceeds my memory limits.

I added a new stronger node as second cold node.
But how do I get some Indexes to move now, as the old node just stops before it could move any shards
