I was trying to announce some plugin updates in the announcements area and I got an error saying I couldn't view the requested resource. I expect this is because I'm not allowed to post there but the error message is broken.
We want to keep the top-level Announcements category for official announcements from Elastic. So this category will continue to remain read-only for everyone except employees of Elastic.
However, I've created a sub-category of Announcements called Community Plugins, which should be open to anyone to post. Feel free to make your announcements about the plugin updates over here.
