Canvas SQL and other examples wanted

Hello,
I am looking online and failing to find more than a very small set of examples for Canvas SQL queries.
Probably my lacking search skills, but I would appreciate a few links and SQL examples that will show me what can I put in the "from" part and how to structure and call fields.

Also - I am at ElasticON, looking forward to catch some time with the great team behind Elastic.
