Change default installation path

Hi All,

I have installed ELK application using the .rpm installer - by default, the home directory goes to /usr/share (which is a directory under our /root filesystem). We have allocated a separate filesystem for elastic (with 500Gb) and we wanted all the installation related files to go there. Is there a way we can change this?

I understand we can redirect the logs and lib directories from elasticsearch.yml, but in this case we can't install X-Pack for kibana because of insufficient space. Our /root has only 3Gb. We may be able to do so if all installation related files goes to our elastic filesystem.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks,
Keeshia

I think https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.2/path-settings.html is what you want.
