Cluster best practices

I am looking for best practices on building an ES cluster. Since ES is so
configurable, it seems like there are a dozen possibles ways to implement a
cluster. Has anyone put together a list at possible config options, pros,
cons, things to consider, etc.?

It all really depends on what you are trying to do and your data.
Send some more information and we can probably be more specific of
things you could do. Here are some posts you might find helpful.

Thanks for the pointers. These are very helpful. I'll probably be back to
this thread when I can better formulate a question.
