Cluster of Machines or a single machine on EC2?

Hello,

I have to index around 300,000 documents on AWS EC2 instance.

Can anybody please suggest whether I should go for a single instance or consider multiple instances for indexing ?

Depends.
But you should be able to do it on one machine.

Yes I am able to do on one. I am just worried about the efficiency. Will multiple small machines be better than a single large machine ?
