Compatibility Matrix as Web Based Tool

Currently, Elastic has a compatibility matrix to indicate which version of products are compatible, although this could be simplified if there was small web-based tool that allows uses to add the Elastic products they use, along with their version numbers. The tool could then output a final report and/or matrix showing which versions are compatible together. This would probably help simplify things a bit, especially for cases where people have varying major/minor versions for each product.

Sorting out the version compatibility has indeed historically not been trivial. From version 5.0 of the Elastic Stack this has however been greatly simplified as all components in the Elastic Stack will now be released together. This means that you should always use the same version across the board.
