a) Logstash has a local persistent queue if you want one otherwise no local storage except in memory

b) That is not the right dashboard Look for [Metricbeat System] Overview ECS (the one you are looking at is when you use Elastic Agent). Also you can look at the metrics APP.

c) All the setups are similiar
