Configure APM agent with System.Configuration

Hi,
Is it possible to use System.Configuration instead of IConfiguration to configure APM agent on .NET Core? We still use App.config xml and System.Configuration to setup our ASP.Net Core apps.
If not, are there any possible workarounds besides using environmental variables?
