Contribution to issue in deleting alias from an index

I am a first timer and wanted to contribute to the issue of deleting alias from an index with wildcard.

Would appreciate help with where to start with and how to navigate for this issue.

Tried looking at TransportIndicesAliasesAction and TransportGetAliasesAction but couldnt move forward.
