Hi folks, I'm using ELK stack 5.6.
I have a working coordinate map visualization using iptables logs for data.
I seem to recall when I ran ELK on 1.x or 2.x that you could drill down in a dashboard when clicking a coodinate point in the map itself.
Hovering over a coordinate point shows the count and coordinates, and turns the cursor into what looks like a clickable link, however nothing happens when its clicked. While I'm sure this is some javascript functionality, this is beyond my understanding.
I see the same behaviour in Chrome and Firefox.
A lot of things have changed since 2.x version of Kibana. Drilldowns are in the roadmap right now. And we are in 7.6 release. And our geo capabilities have come a looooong way.
If there is an option for you to upgrade - I think you will be pleasantly surprised with all the possibilities we have in 7.6 Kibana now
