Could Elasticsearch be overruled by Wordpress default search tool?

Hello,

I have a question about the Elasticsearch plug-in. I have integrated it on my Wordpress website. Although I changed the setting, the search tool does not respond to it. It feels like it is still responding to the settings of the default Wordpress search tool. When I search on keywords for example, no results are found, although I have selected it to show when searching for it. Also with typos and when searching for a sentence and one word in it does not compare to the others. Does anybody has the same problem?

Hi,

I'm guessing you are referring to the ElasticPress plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/elasticpress/

If not you should probably give that plugin a try. It's probably the best choice out there right now. By default though it won't provide some of the features you are looking for (typo correction) and you'll need to write some custom code to implement them.
