Create date error

[2017-12-19T08:00:00,494][INFO ][o.e.c.m.MetaDataCreateIndexService] [xxxxxhostname] .monitoring-es-6-2017.12.19] creating index, cause [auto(bulk api)], templates [.monitoring-es], shards [1]/[1], mappings [doc]
the data is CTS-8 (shanghai/beijing) why the monitoring auto create is at 08:00 ?
how change it auto create with 00:00 ?

dates are stored in UTC within Elasticsearch - I suppose you are 8 hours away from UTC?

this is monitroing data about es ,
i don't change ?
how to change this about can create indices at 00:00 in CST localtime.

Hey,

your dates are stored correctly, just in UTC. You can specify a timezone when querying, if you need to - but you cannot change the way how the data is stored.

Why is that a problem for you? Can you elaborate.

all date creat by days.. so it not good create ant am 8:00 create new indices .
can change the data time use CST not use UTC?
