Default ILM creating issues

Hi Team,
I am using vmetricbeat and heartbeat to collect data from multiple devices. I want to setup ILM for automatic index cleaning as well. However, both creates a default policy and are not allowing to use other ILM policy created manually.

Kindly suggest the wayforward.

What version of the Elastic components?

I would suggest perhaps just editing the default policy and change it to what you would like. The default policies are just that... defaults... the expectation is that you would adjust to your needs.
