Define localhost when loading sample Metricbeats dashboard

Hi.

I'm trying to load the sample Metricbeats dashboard using the setup command from this tutorial . However, I am using SSH to connect to the server.

whenever I try to set the setup command it tell me it fails to connect to the localhost. Is there a way to define the localhost to get it to point to my server instead?

I am using ELk stack version 6.

Solved.

turns out it was indeed done in the metricbeat.yml file but I had a few syntax errors which is why it didn't pick up on it.
