Deploy ElasticSearch on AWS EKS

We are planning to use Amazon OpenSearch Service, but it doesn't work with FS Crawler, so we are considering the solution of deploying Elasticsearch on AWS EKS, and then we found the Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK). Could you please help me with the following questions:

  1. Is there any detail document about how to deploy Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) on AWS EKS?
  2. How to estimate the cost?

Thanks,
Daniel

OpenSearch/OpenDistro are AWS run products and differ from the original Elasticsearch and Kibana products that Elastic builds and maintains. You may need to contact them directly for further assistance.

ad 1. We have documentation on how to install ECK here Install ECK | Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes [2.1] | Elastic, there is nothing specific to an installation on AWS EKS compared to other Kubernetes flavours.

ad 2. this is probably more a AWS question if you are referring to infrastructure cost. Afaik AWS have a cost estimator that can estimate EKS cost as well. On top of that there is license cost for the ECK operator if you want to use the commercial Elasticsearch features. It is probably best to get in touch with the Elastic Sales team for an estimate of that.
