Docs count decresing on restarts

Hi All,

When I am restarting my prod cluster which contains 4 nodes.I have observed total document count is decreasing after restart from my ES cluster, but no document is deleted from the index as well.Please some one explain me what could be the cause or it is an issue...

Hi, if you have unassigned/initializing shards for that time you can see such things (your documents resides in shards and if your shard is not acceptable at a mmoment you see less documents). Wait until you cluster switch state to "green" and then compare documents count.
