Does installing azure plugin cause any data loss?

Greetings..! Hope everyone is safe and good.
I have a 3 node cluster in production.It holds almost 24Lakhs of records. I want to install azure plugin to take backup in azure container. As it is in production, i'm afraid to install azure plugin.
Kindly help me by your suggestions that if i install azure plugin would cause any data loss or node failure.

It should not create data loss.
You should basically follow the steps in this document: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/rolling-upgrades.html

Or if you can, do a full cluster restart.
