Does logstash6.4.0 support writing to nfs output

Hi,

I was trying to have multipel logstash process write to a logfile mounted via NFS. I was getting null characters on my file as it was getting added through the buffer.

I see the following in release notes of logstash6.4.0 https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/6.6/logstash-6-4-0.html

  • Adds support for processing files over remote mounts e.g. NFS. Before, it was possible to read into memory allocated but not filled with data resulting in ASCII NUL (0) bytes in the message field. Now, files are read up to the size as given by the remote filesystem client. Applies to tail and read modes.

It mostly talks about reading from NFS mount. Does anyone know if the issue during writing to NFS is also fixed with this?
