Edit Deployment Cloud without downtime

Hi,

i want to edit my deployment cloud from 3 server elastic server hot data to 1 hot data and 2 warm data.
I read this document ec-customize-deployment and it seems that the old servers are not turned off before the new ones start. However, the client is asking me if there will be a downtime period. Can I reassure him by explaining that there won't be any?

Yes that is correct, the new instances for the deployment are rolled out, the shards migrated, and then the old instances are removed.

There should be zero downtime with this approach.
