we have an interesting issue.
We use Elastic-Agent to get cluster metrics from RedHat OpenShift Monitoring kube state metrics instance. However though all metrics are ingested perfectly fine, the metricsets service and resource class result in empty data streams (in more detail, data stream with 1 empty write index). Resource class might be empty, as we do not use those in the cluster anyway, but we have many services which we don't get the metrics from.
I cannot say for sure that it never worked, but as those data streams are rolled over and deleted by ILM, it must be broken for a longer time by now.
I tried getting some info using agent diagnostics and/or debug logging, but there is no error or warning related anywhere. It is configured identically like all other metricsets for the state metrics (which are working).
There is no information anywhere so any facts or advice are appreciated, for what might cause this issue.
