I again notice new elastic version is released - Release notes | Elasticsearch Guide [7.17] | Elastic , now also with security fixes (Elasticsearch 8.11.2, 7.17.16 Security Update (ESA-2023-29) ), but it is not available from artifacts package repository.
I remember same thing happening with 7.17.15 too.
What is happening? Its like both versions were hidden because issues, a new company policy or just my luck not looking at release notes on wrong time?

Yes, that page also says ES 7.17.16 exists since mid december.
But problem is official DEB and RPM repository still say latest is 7.17.15.

Why?
Two days ago, ### Elasticsearch 7.17.17 is released (January 23, 2024).
I confirm that this time DEB/YUM repositories report versions correctly:
