Elastic Cloud could be used directly on production?

Hello guys
I have some questions on Elastic Cloud:

  1. with X-pack feature, Elastic Cloud could be used directly in Internet production ? or i need to keep it safe behind another services (firewall, VPN, etc, any kind of security) ?

  2. can you tell me the different with subscription with Basic/Gold/Platinum/Enterprise (here: https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions ) when i used X-pack feature, does it mean that if i keep to use Elastic Cloud ($45/mo) after 14 days trial (here: https://www.elastic.co/cloud/as-a-service/pricing), i need to subscribe to pay for X-pack ? I got confused

  1. We always enable the Security functionality with TLS and you should use that by customising the auth details.
  2. The Premium (Gold/Platinum) offering provides access to our Support Engineering team with an SLA for response times.

If you use Elastic Cloud then you get access to the full functionality of X-Pack :slight_smile:
