Seems to be a version missmatch but how to update ?

Documentation how to update Plugins:

https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/current/listing-removing-updating.html

Hello Anmari,

Your jar file seems to incompitable with your Elasticsearch version. You should use correct files. Check it out;

https://jar-download.com/artifacts/org.elasticsearch

For user who also encaounters this error after an update of elastic search via apt-get.

  1. sudo /usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch-plugin remove ingest-attachment
  2. sudo /usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch-plugin install ingest-attachment

This will update the plugin an everything will work again.

If you want to download and install by hand use this as source:
https://jar-download.com/?search_box=ingest-attachment
