I want to know what are the limits of an elasticsearch cluster, meaning what is the criteria to add another node into the elasticsearch cluster to scale horizontally
for example an elasticsearch cluster with 16Go RAM and 500Go disk, approximatively , how many Go of logs can handle as an input such an elasticsearch cluster
No more than that.

Well depends on the numbers of replicas of the index and number of nodes. But a 500GB disk can handle 500GB of logs.
Its hard to reach the limits of clusters as a "normal" person or company. Audi sends terabytes of data into its clusters in hours and performs AI calculations over this data to improve sensors and self driving capabilities. So I think you will never reach the limit.
