What are the differences between the two clusters? What versions are they on?
In the legacy cluster we use elasticsearch 7.1.0 and have 2 DCs and in the new one we use 7.12.0 with 3 DCs
I am not sure what is causing it. I think you will need to capture hot threads when this next occurs to get to the bottom of it.
