Elasticsearch Snapshot Method - is it Synthetic Full Backup?

Dear community thank you in advance for your patience and help.

I learned that Elasticsearch Snapshot is incremental...but does it mean only what is incremental is stored? Or will it be synthesized with the full backup...?

1st day - full backup
2nd day- full backup + what is incremented.

So if we want to restore the full data,
we do not have to do like this, right?

First restore 1st day full backup.
Then restore 2nd day what is incremented...

Can we just restore 2nd day backup?

That is correct.
You can consider each snapshot as a full backup.
You can totally remove snapshot1 and still being to restore.
