Elasticsearch support for ceph storage

Hi,

Does elasticsearch support ceph storage?
Are there any tests of elasticsearch conducted on ceph wrt functionality, performance?

As far as I know Elasticsearch does not support ceph storage. Based on this thread it would seem it is not tested. I also recall seeing reports around issues using ceph here. Even if it did work, I would expect it to have a negative impact on performance compare to using local disks.
